Stations of the Cross Friday March 5
Lent is upon us. Jesus
says to us to come to Him with all our burdens and He will show us the way of
the cross to carry
them, not alone, but together with Him.
What better way to get
close to our Lord during Lent than to walk with him at the
Stations of the Cross.
We are asking that all Council Members that are able to meet at Our Lady of the Mountains on Friday, March 5th at 3PM to pray the Stations of the Cross together.
Remember that during Lent, Catholics are asked to devote themselves to prayer, to engage in works of piety and charity, to deny themselves, by fulfilling their obligations more faithfully and especially by observing the fast and abstinence Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and Easter Sunday (Mark these days on your calendars to participate in the liturgy of those days.) perhaps we, as Catholic men, and Knights, can each select one meaningful penance (giving up) and one meaningful extra work each day of Lent.
Your Brother in Christ,
Earl Whitaker, Church Director
